2018 Maritime Challenge – RobotX in Hawaii!

The Maritime RobotX Challenge is an international competition where college students team up with industry professionals in a complex robotics course with autonomous vehicles that they have designed and built. Launched in 2012 by the Office of Naval Research (ONR), RobotX engages regional partners around the Pacific Rim in this high-level biennial competition focused on autonomous surface vehicle platforms and sensors.

RobotX is now a part of RoboNation, a nonprofit organization supporting educational activities of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI).

This year, HI FusionED has partnered with RoboNation to co-host RobotX in Hawaii. The competition is a weeklong event that is opened to the public and includes a G4-12 STEM Expo for local schools.
