7th Annual Hawaii Robofest Regional

2014 Hawaii RobofestThe 7th Annual Hawaii Robofest Regional Tournament was a huge success! On Saturday, April 5th, at the University of Hawaii West Oahu campus, over 250 students from grades 4-8 competed in autonomous robotic activities. The event was free and open to the public from 8:30am to 3:00pm.

AMD Game Results:

  • 1st Place: 783-3 Highlands Intermediate Team 3
  • 2nd Place: 2040-2 Keoneula Elementary Cubots #2
  • 3rd Place: 2040-1 Keoneula Elementary Cubots #1
  • 4th Place: 1825-3 Kalihi-Kai Elementary Team # Wobble
  • Judge’s Choice: 1994-2 Ka Waihona PCS #02 (for perseverance and never giving up!)

Exhibition Project Results:

  • 1st Place: 2049-3 Waikele Elementary Enrichment 5
  • 2nd Place: 2049-2 Waikele Elementary Enrichment 4
  • 3rd Place: 2049-4 Waikele Elementary Enrichment 6
  • 4th Place: 1951-2 Kaleiopuu Elementary Debris Busters
  • 5th Place: 1913-3 Webling Elementary Cyber Pueoz 3

Robofest is an international scholastic robotics program created in 2000 by Dr. CJ Chung, a professor at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan, to excite students about math. Introducing Robofest to Hawaii in 2007, isisHawaii is proud to be one of Robofest’s 23 tournament hosts supporting Dr. Chung’s vision and mission.
